HSE research carried out in 2004/05 estimate the human and economic cost of 'falls from vehicle' incidents that are known about was over £36.5 million. A sizeable proportion of these are falls from tail-lifts.
TAIL LIFT TRAINING
Aims and Objectives:
This course is designed to train individuals in the safe practice of operating all types of vehicle Tail lifts. We can offer a tailored service to ensure the safe operation of all tail lift equipment to suit the individual needs of our customers.
Course content:
~ Health and Safety legislation relating to Personal Protective Equipment.
~ Health and Safety Guidance on safe practice of Tail Lift operation.
~ Safe loading and operating of relevant Tail Lifts.
~ Pre use Safety checks of Tail lifts.
~ Understanding of safe working loads of Tail Lifts.
~ Practical assessment of competency.
Course duration:
3.5 Hrs, two courses can be conducted in one day 9:00-12:30 / 13:00-16:30 maximum 3 candidates per course.
Course fee £180 Instructor per 3.5hr session + 40p per mile instructor travel.
Course conducted on customers premises and vehicle.
Course Requirements:
A reasonably sized area of the yard, that is not in use, must be made available to conduct the training to ensure trainer and delegate safety.
