Aims and Objectives:
This course is designed to train individuals in the safe practice of manoeuvring large articulated vehicles in a busy working environment and to equip the driver with the knowledge to un-couple and re-couple trailers in a safe and competent manner.
Course content:
~ Health and Safety legislation relating to Vehicle, Trailer and PPE.
~ Vehicle pre-user safety checks.
~ Familiarisation with tractor unit only.
~ Instruction in driving unit and trailer combination.
~ Reversing tuition various manoeuvres.
~ Recognised procedure of un-coupling and re-coupling trailer to DSA test standard.
~ Theoretical and practical assessment of competency.
Course duration:
1 candidate per day novice
2 candidates per day some experience
Assessments only up to 6 per day
Course fee £240 Instructor day rate
Course conducted on customers premises and vehicle
